Watermark Castle Cove Complete

Construction is complete on the Watermark Castle Cove seniors living development. Marchese + Partners design for this benchmark seniors development offers state of the art facilities within a boutique complex of just 50 independent living units.

Marchese + Partners achieved development approval for this project back in 2006. Utilising sound urban design principles Marchese + Partners were able to achieve significantly more floor space and height than is prescribed in the S.E.P.P. seniors living policy whilst still achieving development approval in only 9 months.

Set around a generous courtyard, Watermark offers 17 different apartment styles of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms plus penthouse styles in Castle Cove, one of Sydney's desirable lower north shore suburbs. The designs are modern, and sophisticated, whilst still retaining the ambience and comforts of home. The development  is located within walking distance of local shops and medical facilities and features on site facilities including a residents lounge dining area and bar, a cinema, gym, hairdressing salon, games room as well as a large landscaped courtyard and grounds.

The development also incorporates an active public private interface through the incorporation of the Castle Cove Public Library within the development. The library is run by the local council and provides a benefit to the local community as well as Watermark's residents whilst also providing a public space where residents can interact with the community.

The project was successfully constructed by Parkview Constructions and with completion the first twenty residents are set to move into their new homes in the coming weeks.

M + P Master Plan Prestigious City Site

Marchese + Partners have submitted a master plan DA for a commercial tower on a prestigious site in George Street in Sydney's CBD.

The master plan consists of the detailed design of the retail podium including the facade design and also outlines a proposed development 'envelope' for a commercial tower above.

M+P prepared an in-depth design analysis to resolve the many public, commercial and aesthetic requirements of the project including client, council and end user needs.  The final podium design incorporates a generous public through site link between George and York Streets, integration of existing heritage features, large retail and public spaces and major public art installations.

Stage 2 of the project will involve the detailed design of the commercial tower. The tower is proposed to incorporate up to 18000m2 of commercial space over 24 levels.
