Vantage Sales Success

The Marchese + Partners' designed 'Vantage' apartments, in Canberra's north-west, has achieved unprecedented sales in its first three weeks of marketing, with only a few units remaining.

M+P's modern, attractive design established the project as one of the most desirable new addresses in the Fernhill precinct of Bruce and helped it outsell neighbouring developments. ACT based, Hindmarsh Group, are the development and construction team behind Vantage, ensuring that the build quality will exceed market expectations.

Vantage offers designer one bedroom, one bedroom plus study, and two bedroom apartments within a striking five level building are designed with the residents comfort and lifestyle in mind. The development will also include a private BBQ and pool area and lush, fully landscaped common areas.

The sales success of the apartments comes at a time when Canberra's multi-unit residential marketing is booming. Due to the obvious higher level of design quality it has over other ACT multi-residential developments, it's easy to understand why the demand for Vantage's 120 apartments has been high. M+P are also currently designing three other apartment blocks in the area, which are expected to generate as much interest as Vantage.

Managing Director of Marchese + Partners, Steve Zappia, believes the Canberra market is showing little signs of slowing, despite the current economic uncertainties. 'Recent reports suggest that as Canberra's infrastructure grows, thanks to the $20 billion Building Australia Fund, the property market will follow suit. Combine this with an influx of residents from outside ACT, and the news is all positive for the local residential market.'

Botany Master Plan Approved

M+P's Pemberton Street master plan in Botany combines four storey residential apartment buildings with a large communal open space and offers a high quality design solution to a complex site.

The orientation and setbacks ensure that no overshadowing, or privacy problems are created and open the vistas from Pemberton Street to the ridge line to the east of the site. The apparent height is maintained at three storeys by the careful inclusion of upper level residential spaces within roof envelopes and the requirement of lift and stair cores that only have to serve the third level.

The proposal is designed along communal planning principles and creates a variety of uses, building types and open spaces that will enrich the experience of the local community.
